Self Worth – Positive Psychology describes it as at core of our very selves—our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are intimately tied into how we view our worthiness and value as human beings.!

And yet, how often to we look to others to validate our worth? How often do we allow criticism or our own regret for our behaviours, which are only a part of us, affect the way we feel about ourselves at our core? As we explore our self health, by strengthening and expanding our connections to ourselves, we will need to hold ourselves as being worthy of our love.

There is a Japanese artform called kintsugi where a precious metal is used to fuse together pieces of broken ceramics. Every piece is unique and the cracks become a part of the story creating a beauty more profound than what was there before.

Let’s reflect on what makes us unique and special. What beauty have the challenges that have overcome brought to our bodies, characters, and spirits? Let’s spend some time considering and appreciating our precious and incomparable worth.
