You are the sky. Everything else – it’s just the weather.”– Pema Chödrön
What Is Coaching?
Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The coaching relationship is a framework that allows for the inspiration and development of personal and professional goals and a vision and strategy for achieving them.
How can coaching help?
Current events have upended much of what we may have taken as “normal” or “standard”. We are collectively experiencing volatility and transition in the way we work, the industries we work in, society at large, and, thanks to the necessity of isolation and distancing, our personal lives are likely affected as well. Being in this state of flux can be an enormous opportunity, but it can also feel incredibly overwhelming. Some have expressed feeling disempowered or stuck.
How coaching can help is by providing a confidential non judgemental space for clients to untangle their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, identify limiting beliefs, and to figure out where they want to be and how to move forward. A coach is there to support each step of the process. Coaching can be for personal or professional goals, often if involves both.
What to expect
Each session is set with your agenda and each goal is created in partnership with you, and confirmed with your agreement. In other words, this is all about you are and what you want to do. Sessions will take place virtually, either by video or on the phone. Typical sessions last about an sixty to ninety minutes. Coaching fees are per session and not timed.
Coaching is not therapy, and it is not about giving advice. As your coach I will not direct you towards any goals or outcomes that you haven’t identified and confirmed as wanting to develop and achieve.
