How often do we allow criticism or our own regret for our behaviours, which are only a part of us, affect the way we feel about ourselves at our core? As we explore our self health, by strengthening and expanding our connections to ourselves, we will need to hold ourselves as being worthy of our love.

#5: Autonomy

Healthy relationships exist when we can maintain a sense of autonomy, when we are able to feel like we have a level of self government, and the ability to make our own decisions. Last week we connected to our emotions and invited ourselves to embrace them as part of our experience. That said, we don’t need to be ruled by emotion or feeling. As we explore our self health, by strengthening and expanding our connections to ourselves, we will want to consider the power that emotional autonomy can bring.

Every relationship has fluctuating states, particularly when the intimacy deepens. We get stuck when we simplify, judge, resist or deny these ebbs and flows; the intricate weather patterns of our inner life.
